National Recovery Month
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has deemed September to be “National Recovery Month”, which is sponsored by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT). The CSAT is a government-created program that “provides national leadership in the Federal government’s effort to improve the lives of individuals and their families affected by alcohol and drug abuse.”
To mark National Recovery Month, many events have been held across the country to raise awareness of the dangers that alcohol and drug use, abuse, and addiction pose to our country and our neighborhoods; and to celebrate the achievements of those individuals who have overcome alcohol and drug addictions. The CSAT also encourages citizens to become active in improving or expanding the services that are available to recovering addicts in their communities. Other goals of National Recovery Month are to decrease the stigma associated with seeking treatment for addictions by raising awareness of how wide-spread the problem has become, and to increase resources and support for those in need of assistance.
As the month draws to a close, eDrug Rehab would like to recognize the many devoted members of our team who have helped our clients break free of the addictions that have threatened their families, careers, relationships, social lives, and physical wellbeing. Your passion, commitment, and genuine concern for your clients and patients have transformed the lives of thousands, guiding them on the sometimes challenging road to recovery.
We would also like to acknowledge the individuals who have successfully overcome any type of addiction. Your strength and determination will inspire others to seek the help that they need. We are also grateful for the many sacrifices that have been made by families, friends, co-workers, and other unknown individuals who have provided supportive and safe environments.
If you or someone you know has not yet taken the first step toward recovery, eDrug Rehab encourages you to call us today.
