Combining drugs can be potentially dangerous.  That being said, the most dangerous combinations are multiple downers, such as alcohol and barbiturates or benzos (such as Xanax).  Benzos ARE frequently used to reduce anxiety from Methamphetamine use, but this should only be done under medical supervision.
