Injecting drugs can lead to a number of problems, including endocarditis (an infection of the valves in the heart), abscesses, Hepatitis C and HIV from sharing needles, and infections in the blood. Abscesses are treated by incision and drainage by medical professional. Visit the nearest ER or urgent care for evaluation.
