Answer to your Question

Question: How long is crack detected in your body?

Submitted on: October 14, 2008

Answer: The tests used to detect cocaine use (both powder and crack) are actually based on a metabolite of cocaine called benzoylecgonine. Typically, this substance is detected in the urine for 3-5 days after last use; however, some studies have suggested that with heavier, longer-term use, it can be detected for 10-14 days. There is one report of it being detected 22 days out. How quickly any drug is excreted from your body depends on several factors including your age and kidney/liver function. Cocaine can be detected in the hair for much longer periods.
