Question: My son turned 18 this past November, but just now graduated high school. He plans to go to college in the next few months. Can I force him to go into a treatment plan?

Answer:
An adult cannot be forced to go into drug treatment, unless it is court-ordered. Successful treatment requires the addict to understand that they have a problem, and make effort to achieve recovery.
