The definition of a substance use disorder requires that the drug use affect your functioning. With steroids, this means that the drug use is affecting your relationships, school, or work. Steroids can cause people to become very irritable, aggressive, and sometimes even violent. This would indicate a drug problem. Also, continuing to use despite health problems indicates that there may be a drug problem. Consider seeking help if these problems arise.
