Answer to your Question

Question: Will methadone block the effects of suboxone withdrawl?

Submitted on: June 08, 2009

Answer: Buprenorphine, the active opiate in suboxone has a very high affinity for opiate receptors in the brain i.e., binds to them very tightly. So, when there is buprenorphine in one's system, other opiates, including methadone may not be effective
